There is someone who is dealing with what you have been through. When you share what The Lord has done in your life, you are helping others. You need to be vocal about what Jesus has done in your life. He was now able to live again, there was no way he was able to contain himself. He realized he no longer had to stay outside the town, and was able to be among others. When the man thought about what Jesus had don’t for him, he said I can’t keep it to myself. Be made clean.” The bible says “Immediately the leprosy left him, and he was made clean.” After this, Jesus instructed him to not tell anyone. He was moved with pity and said “I do choose. Now, what would happen next was left up to Jesus. This man felt he had nothing to lose and everything to gain by engaging Jesus. They lived the rest of their days as outcast-not able to interact with other people. When people were identified to have leprosy, they were dismissed from their town.
Couldn't Keep It to Myself is a true testament to the process of finding oneself and working toward a better day. This man came begging and kneeling before Jesus and said “if you choose, you can make me clean.” This man heard about what Jesus had done for others. In his moving introduction, Lamb describes the incredible journey of expression and self-awareness the women took through their writing and shares how they challenged him as a teacher and as a fellow author. In Mark 1:40-45, we have the story of Jesus healing a man from leprosy.
